Gargle with listerine or a warm water and salt solution as often throughout the day as you can. This will help kill off bacteria but if it really bothers you, you should get a strep test done to rule that out. YOu definitely wanna have that treated with antibiotics if it is for the sake of your baby. Hope you feel better! Drink lots of fluids too!

You could try some chamomile tea with honey in it. The honey will help with your throat and the tea will help relax you even more. I find as well that chocolate helps. It coats your throat and if you let it melt in your mouth and doesn’t cure the sore throat but it makes it more bearable.

Try and gargle with some tcp (a type of disinfectant suitable for gargling) or some mouth wash.

I get sore throats all the time, I always try to keep my mouth as clean as possible, it’s the bacteria in your throat that makes it swell up and feel sore.

Also I find that avoiding sugary food helps.

If you are allowed an ibruprofen or an asprin try that as use a soluble one as it will absorb more quickly. Even if it doesn’t stay in your stomach for too long, some of the medecine will penetrate in through the inside of your mouth.

    Try gargling with this also.

Have some fresh oranges, they are quite sharp but can be great for you.

They a hot honey and fresh lemon drink. Use a slice of fresh lemon and stew it in your drink.
