How early in your pregnancy can you start to get morning sickness?
Morning Sickness FAQs Add commentsNikki W asked:
About a week ago, I took a positive pregnancy test. I figure that I’m somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks along, but I haven’t made it to the doctor yet, so I don’t know for sure. For the past three days I’ve felt extremely nauseous. I thought it was too early to be getting morning sickness, but my friend says it can start pretty early. Have I come down with something or is it really morning sickness?
Thanks.

I started getting sick towards the end of my fifth week but everyone is sooooo different. Don’t rush it! It will come and you will be miserable. Enjoy yourself now before you start vomiting

The women I know who got morning sickness (including me in my first pregnancy) got it within 2-3 days either before or after a positive test. Happy hormone poisoning!

I started getting sick right away. Very nauseated but I did not actually vomit. That and the missed period are what prompted me to take a test.

Every woman is different, I only had morning sickness my 6th. 7th and 8th week, and then it went away. My sister in-law has had morning sickness her entire pregnancy, from the moment she found out, which i think was about 4 weeks.

I started feeling nauseous a couple days before my missed period. If you don’t have any other symptoms of an illness, then it’s probably morning sickness.
Congratulations!

The discovery health program had a new special on yesterday and said that the latest studies show that women can begin experiencing the first signs of pregnancy as early as eight days after conception. So congrats it is most likely morning sickness. And although it ***** let me give you some good news. Studies show that although they are unable to find a reason for the connection between morning sickness and the health of the baby…. numerous studies done show that women who experience morning sickness are twice as likely as those who don’t to have a healthy baby.
Good luck.

Yes, it is possible that it is morning sickness. Every pregnancy is different. I’m on baby number 5 and it’s like as soon as i took the test all the symptoms came down on me. Some women wont have any morning sickness at all or it could be towards the end of the pregnancy.. I wish u and your baby many many blessing **Ms Tasha**

You count the number of weeks you are pregnant starting with the first day of your last period, with the average pregnancy lasting 40 weeks (plus or minus 2 weeks). A baby delivered at 37 weeks is considered full term.
Some women get nauseous right away and stay that way the whole time, some for just a brief period, and some never get nauseous at all (morning sickness is a misnomer – you can feel nauseous any time of the day!).
You may have morning sickness, you may have the flu, it doesn’t matter, just try and deal with the symptoms. Stay well hydrated, and make an appointment with your OB asap so you can start taking your prenatal vitamins.
