vegies, limit your fruits [too much sugar] that includes fruit juice too, meats, watch the fish you eat…dont forget your prenatals.
as for morning sickness– crackers and water. bland foods ease the queezy feeling.
walking is good.

Bless you, try eating lots of fruit and veg and some meat if you can, a little fish.
DO NOT EAT: peanuts, no uncooked fish, no Mayo or anything with raw egg in it!!
Soft and blue-veined cheeses, such as camembert, brie and stilton. Any sort of pate..
As for the morning sickness try the travell bands from boots they are not expensive and do work!!
Good luck x

Chose a well rounded diet but avoid fish that can contain mercury, shellfish, soft cheese such as feta, products that contain raw eggs like mayo and ceasar dressing. Also avoid lunch meat, raw-undercooked meats such as a medium rare burger. And obviously things that aren’t healthy in the first place like fried foods and fast food. I would try to eat fresh or steamed veggies, grilled chicken, salads, etc. Exercising- walking is great. Avoid contact sports or sports where you could be struck with an object. If you live in the Southeast go online to Publix.com and join their babyclub. They send you a free book on pregnancy that you generally receive in about a week. Also since you work at Lowe’s, wear good shoes and try to use those stress mats as much as possible because those floors are a killer.

Go for 30 minute walks. It won’t be too strenuous for you and it will strengthen your muscles throughout your pregnancy. If you’ve already been doing some physical activity, you can continue doing on a lower scale since you’re already in good shape. My Dr. recommended that I keep doing my normal exercise routine until my body says to stop.
As far as what to eat everything I’ve read says high protein and high carbs. Stay away from processed sugar and things that are too salty…. and you’ll be fine.

just eat healthy veggies, fruit, try to stay away from caffeine, if you want a soda really bad go for a rootbeer, sprite, 7 up, ginger ale. and make sure to drink lots of water and milk, the water will help with your skins elasticity and you’ll need the extra milk, protein, and fiber because you are eating for 2 and for exercising just walk or jog everyday and it will help a lot when you are in the delivery room!

Eat a well balanced diet with plenty of salads with dark leafy greens like spinach or kale, include tomato, carrot, cucumber and an olive oil based salad dressing.
You should eat plenty of fresh fruit: apples, oranges, bananas, berries, mango, grapes. Make yourself a smoothie each morning or a fruit salad.
Plenty of whole grains: try 100% wheat Sara Lee bread. It has 3 grams of fiber a slice. Or if you like pasta, try the 365 brand whole wheat. You can also eat oatmeal, farina cereal or cream of wheat hot cereal. I recommend bran muffins because they help keep you regular as some women suffer from slower digestion and constipation during pregnancy.
Drink plenty of fluids: water is best, you can squeeze a little lime or lemon into it if you don’t care for plain. You should drink orange juice, and other juices with vitamin C. You should drink milk or soymilk.
You should also get plenty of meat: lean choices like chicken or salmon are great. Go easy on the beef and pork as it is higher in saturated fat.
You’ll also want several servings of dairy daily: milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, hard cheeses like cheddar and even ice cream.
You should take a prenatal vitamin daily (one that contains folic acid)-this will prevent birth defects like spina bifida (a hole in the spinal column).
For exercise, stick to low or non-impact aerobic exercise. A 30 minute walk and gentle stretching daily will help keep you in shape.
There is no “cure” for morning sickness except to wait it out until around the 3-4th month when this should start to ease up. You can try fisherman’s wrist bands which help some women available at the pharmacy that are accupressure. You can also try ******* ginger candies or sour lollipops. Eating a few saltine crackers right before you get out of bed can help morning sickness. Eat smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day to prevent your blood sugar from getting too low, as low blood sugar can trigger vomitting.
You’ll want to eat candy only in moderation after a healthy meal, stay away from trans fats, and high calorie desserts. Don’t eat unpasteurized dairy foods like feta cheese, blue cheese dressing or Crema Mexicana. This foods can carry harmul bacteria that can cause listeriosis or food poisoning in pregnant women. Also stay away from shark, tile fish, makerel and herring as they have higher concentrations of mercury and can be harmful if eaten during pregnancy. Of course stay away from caffeine (energy drinks, coffee, tea, chocolate), alcohol, cigarettes and recreational drugs. It used to be thought that 2 cups of caffeinated beverages a day was fine, but now its been determined that caffeine increases the risk of miscarriage. Go easy on the soda pop, instead try sparkling water with lemon or lime. Avoid empty calories like chips and snacks, and go for the more nutritious choices like fresh fruit. Make every bite count. Get into see your OB/GYN soon and be sure to get plenty of sleep (at least 6-7 hours per night-if you can manage to get 8-9 hours that is even better.)
If you follow a healthy diet, and take your vitamins you’ll no doubt have a beautiful healthy child. Good luck to you!

wow, you havent been to an ob/gyn yet and you are 18 weeks? i really hope there is nothing wrong with you or your baby. that is really too much time to wait to see the doc. i would have gone somewhere else. you are suppose to go in and see your doc for your first prenatal visit when you find out you are pregnant. you’ve waited way too long. that is NOT A GOOD THING. anyways you need to get the book “what to expect when you’re expecting” its a great book and gives you helpful tips on what you are going through, how your baby is growing…etc.
go to this site, it gives your info on what to eat when pregnant, how to exercise when pregnant..etc
get in to see the doc asap. maybe you should get an appt somewhere else that is sooner. everyday that goes by could be harmful to you and the baby because you havent seen the doc yet.
